Located in a charming stone alley, on chapel street. B natural cafe is like a gem hiding in the rough.
The smoothies are exceptional, as you can't go wrong with the superfood bowls.
They are not all aesthetic, they care about the beans. Talking coffee beans. Espresso les go -

I came into B-Natural Cafe a little before 11 AM on a Saturday, and the restaurant was pretty empty, save for a few other diners. The ordering station / cashier is near the corner/back of the cafe, so be sure to head that way if you're unsure of where to order! The kitchen area is quite dim and empty-looking, which makes B-Natural appear less inviting. I also noticed that the staff took a while to prepare the order of the diner ahead of me, and subsequently took a long time to prepare our two smoothie bowls.
My friend ordered the Chia and Berries smoothie bowl (yogurt with mixed berries, chia seeds, banks, soy milk, granola, and topped with bananas), and I ordered the Açaí Mixed Berry smoothie bowl. It consisted of Acai powder, mixed berries, bananas, soy milk, and yogurt topped with sliced banana and B-natural granola. While it didn't taste extremely fresh (perhaps due to the frozen fruits and açaí powder), my Açaí Mixed Berry bowl was still quite good, a little bit too much on the creamy / thick side (which normally isn't a complaint of mine, but is unlike traditional açaí bowls!). B-Natural went a little too heavy with the Greek yogurt, and the sharp / strong greek yogurt essence could be tasted with every bite, creating kind of a sour experience, not light and fresh like most açaí bowls taste. The granola is house-made and was an excellent complement. Overall, the consistency was terrific; the açaí bowl was smooth and rich.
While it wasn't the freshest açaí bowl I've had, we were both satisfied with our smoothie bowls and will be back for more! The bowls run about $7.95 each, which is definitely one of the cheaper options for an açaí bowl in New Haven. -

Had the thanksgiving salad- I could eat this everyday. My co worker got the buffalo chicken panini and stayed it was yummy with just enough spice and heat. The smoothies are definitely worth a try. Will be back for more of my salad and to try other menu items. Def a fav new lunch place.

Great prices for incredibly high quality food.
I had a raw cashew chocolate treat and coffee. Can't wait to come back for a meal.
$9 for a high quality veggie meal is quite a nice deal. -

DO NOT GET THE ACAI BOWL!!
They do not use fresh fruits. I got the superfood bowl and it tastes like a watered down smoothie.
Paid $10 for water and some toppings.
